Christian and Clare met on a New York City night out in February 2020. While there is still some debate about who purchased the first round of drinks, there is no denying that it was the start of something special. First dates filled with dinners and drinks in the city soon became Facetimes and phone calls between Virginia and New Jersey.

After a few months of remote work, Christian’s company was looking for volunteers to return to the office. He quickly jumped at the opportunity to get back to the city because it meant he would have a chance to see Clare again.

Clare was similarly excited to see Christian and after three months without seeing each other, they were inseparable. They met each other’s families and friends, traveled to new places and explored more of the city they love to call home.

One October morning, Christian decided to ask Clare to marry him. They went for an early morning walk in Central Park, just the two of them, and he proposed at the top of the reservoir. They spent the rest of the weekend celebrating with family and spreading the news to friends.
