1. What is the dress code?
The dress code for welcome drinks is smart casual. For men, we suggest a button down and blazer. For women, we suggest a dress, jumpsuit or dressy separates.
The dress code for our wedding day is black tie optional. For men, we suggest a tuxedo or dark colored suit. For women, we suggest floor length dresses.
2. Are children invited?
Guests invited to our wedding will be listed on your invitation. Children are welcome to join for our church ceremony, but we are having an adult only reception. Thank you for understanding!
3. Will transportation be provided?
Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to our ceremony. Transportation will be provided for our reception. Shuttles will run from the Marriott and Hyatt House to our venue and back following the end of the main reception and after party. Parking is also available at The Wainwright House for those who prefer to drive.
4. Is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?
Yes, there is a gap between our church ceremony and reception. We expect our ceremony to end around 3PM and cocktail hour for our reception will begin at 5PM. We recommend heading back to the hotel or exploring the shops and restaurants in downtown Rye during this time. Additional details will be provided regarding the timing of transportation from the hotels to The Wainwright House.
5. Is it possible to get early check-in at the hotel?
Early check-in can be requested, but is not guaranteed. If early check-in is needed, we ask that you indicate this when making your reservation. We also suggest calling the day before your arrival to reiterate your early check-in request.
